Spectacles!

You know you’ve been staring in front of a computer screen too much when your eyes start to hurt. You know there’s something wrong with your eyes when they just start feeling… odd. I can’t really describe it, since it’s not exactly a sort of pain in the eyes that’ll make you go “MY EYES, THEY HURT!”. It just feels odd.

I decided to wear my glasses. I mean, I do have glasses for a reason. I think I may need to get a new prescription for my lenses since I haven’t worn my glasses for a year. Also, I have decided to buy new frames as well. My old ones are just fugleh. Apparently, I look like a nerd when I have my glasses on. But whatever, I’d rather get called a nerd than go totally blind from being in front of my laptop way too much. Haha.

This (the black/silver one) is the one I want right now. I hope I can find it at the nearest Lens Crafters because I am in love with them. Although, if I do see something that’ll suit me better (and hopefully cheaper), I might change my mind. :P

Do you wear glasses? Are you more of a contacts person? I would get contacts, but I don’t really like the thought of sticking anything in my eyes. Kinda freaks me out. :P

I’ve been wearing glasses since about eight years ago, and I am exactly the same as you when it comes to contacts! I’m so afraid of them, and I’ve heard horror stories about them too! My friend apparently got scarred irises (or scarred something in her eyes) from contact lenses - that creeps me out!

I love glasses but, fortunately, I don’t need them. I’m extremely grateful for that actually — I hate being dependant upon things. I think you look adorable with your glasses on! But glasses shopping looks fun. :P

I wear glasses since… August last year I think? I don’t think I could ever wear contacts, it seems to awkward to insert something in my eyes. So I just use the glasses when I need them (driving at night, at class when I can’t the the board, etc).

You’re cute so most frame will look cute on you, even those you have in the picture. I guess frame choosing won’t be as much of a problem as it was for me :P

I don’t wear glasses or contacts, but if presented with the choice, I’d definitely go with glasses. Contacts are scary. I heard that sometimes if you forget to take them out, they get melded to the surface of your eyeballs and then you have to surgically remove them, which means there will be a possibility that the operation could go wrong and obliterate your eyesight forever. So yes, go with glasses! And those ones you picked are nice =D They’d probably look great on you.

I’ve had contacts for a couple years and they’re not scary or awkward at all! You can’t even feel them. They’re so much more convenient than glasses, but I have glasses too and I wear them sometimes but not all that often in public. They’re these in black: http://tinyurl.com/2wg6xf (the metal detail on the side is a little different and the shape might be too, but this is the closest I could find because I think Lenscrafters doesn’t carry my frames anymore).

The frames you picked out look good, but personally I prefer thicker rims!

YES, JUST GO WITH GLASSES. It will save you time and money XD Just the thought of having to spend 238743fje3756 hours on putting on and disinfecting after is just wayy too much trouble. Glasses ftw :D

I have glasses for short sightedness, but I hate wearing them and so hardly ever do. My parents won’t let me get contacts but as soon as I can I’m definitely going to get them.

Whoa, those silver frames look spiffy. My optometrist never had frames that looked that good when I was picking glasses. :P

I’ve got both contacts and glasses, but I mostly wear contacts. After a while, you kind of get used to poking yourself in the eye twice a day. I admit it was really frustrating when I first started out with them.

I have to wear classes, especially when I’m watching TV, though I forget them quite often even though I really like my glasses (I’ve got black and red emo glasses :P )

I wear glasses now and I need a new prescription badly. I use to wear contacts for three years but I hated how they would dry out at the most random times, (like when I’m driving). I’ve decided I’m going to stick with glasses. I would like my next pair to be black framed glasses.

And you don’t look like a nerd, trust me. My glasses fit crooked on my face because I’ve stepped on them twice, I look like the nerd! :P

I have glasses, but I don’t wear them all the time - only when I need to see something that’s far away (usually in school classes). I think I look better without them, and I do want contacts so I can actually see well all the time.

I not only have glasses, I have to have normal glasses and reading glasses! It was either that or bifocals, but I’m pretty sure that would drive me insane. ;)

I’ve actually had glasses since I was around two or three. They could tell I needed glasses because I have a lazy eye. It goes away when I put on glasses, but once I take them off, there it is again! :P

I tried to get contacts twice which turned out to be an expensive mistake both times (thankfully they were disposable, so it wasn’t too expensive). I just CANNOT stick my finger in my eye. I blink far too much.

All that said, I like your glasses! And the ones you linked to at Lenscrafters are cute too. :)

I wear glasses for most everything. I tried getting contacts once but I could not get them out of my eye. I seriously sat there at the optometry office trying to get them out for over an hour. Then I had to have them get it out for me and I was done with contacts.
