The 2008 List

ThreeFour hours has passed since 2008 arrived and I already have a problem. I cannot sleep! But all is good, since I might as well try to make a decent blog entry worthy of being the first blog entry I’ll make for the year. My brain is half asleep (or is it half-dead?) right now, so things might not make sense. But really, when did I ever make sense?

So, for the first ever list I’m going to ever make for this year, I decided it shouldn’t be resolutions. Instead it should be a list of things I ought to try/do this year. Without further adieu, the 2008 List (applause, yay):

  1. Get more sleep. 8 hours or more a day! Bags under your eyes never made anyone look good :P (Although, as you can see, I already am not doing this one. Bad Eina.)
  2. Actually try at school. Ever since moving here, I’ve stopped trying to achieve things in the academic area of my life. 2008 will be different. I will get in to the University of Toronto!
  3. Learn how to cook. I won’t survive without food, that I’m pretty sure of.
  4. Help my mother more around the house.
  5. Actually get A’s this term and for the next term too.
  6. Practice Math and Chemistry. I know how to do them! I just forget how to do them after a few days. Practice, practice!
  7. Make a schedule and actually stick with it!
  8. Save moneys. Need moneys for school.
  9. Become more honest.
  10. Listen to the sermons every time I go to church.
  11. Become healthier (a.k.a. LOSE WEIGHT) and do some running and whatever. (Note to self: Drag friends to gym.)
  12. To become less of an anti-social.
  13. Stop dodging Cupid’s arrows?
  14. Learn how to write proper blog entries.
  15. Actually learn PHP/MySQL.

Let’s stop at 15, shall we? I like making lists of things I should do, but I also like not following them. It’s a bit hypocritical of me, but whatever, I will follow this one. Feel free to give me a whacking in the head if you catch me not following it! Also, Project 365 is a bit interesting. Anyone giving this a try this year?

I like your list, it contains a good amount of things…but I would never try creating my own list of goals or things to do because I know that I would never even finish one goal. I also have heard that it is actually much more helpful to get 6-7 hours of sleep rather then the told 8 hours of sleep. Number 3 is especially important! I am always home alone when there is no food in the fridge…which forces me to end up eating crackers and milk for dinner. Maybe I should learn how to cook then…

Save monies!!! Save monies!! :D We all need em, also with sleep. Gosh, sleep is a luxury we always fail to implement because of technology eh?

I don’t know how to cook either. Since my mom doesn’t cook, I have to eat microwavable food every night of the week. It’s not very healthy though. :/

Happy New Year! Those are some pretty great resolutions. I haven’t really thought of any myself. Except that I must get into shape, but really, who doesn’t plan that one at New Year?

I’d like to become less reserved.

Happy New Year (even though it’s a bit late) and good luck with keeping your resolutions! #1-7 are things I should probably do, but I didn’t want to make my list too long because last year I made a huge list of resolutions and ended up keeping maybe 1 of them (heh).

Project 365 does sound interesting, but I don’t know if I could do it. It’s probably not for lazy people like me. :P

Your goals seem practical and achievable, I wish you the best in keeping them for 2008. ^_^ It’s more difficult I find to keep the sermons than to just only listening to them… ^_^
    Have a happy new year!
